Share
At some point of their lives, most dogs will require some kind of eye medication. Here are a few guidelines that will make the medication process go more smoothly, for you and your dog!
The first thing to remember when giving any medication is to be calm and not communicate anxiety or nervousness to your dog. Have all the materials ready before calling your dog.
Never touch the tip of tube or bottle to the eye surface or any other surface.
Pull the lower eyelid gently away from the eyeball. Drop or squeeze the medication into this space. Hold the dog still for a minute or two to allow the medication to spread across the eye surface and be absorbed.
